Emergency EU talks to end Athens protests

There have been riots in the Greek capital over the latest conditions attached to their EU-IMF bailout.

Under the deal, major pension cuts and tax reforms are needed to secure the third tranche of its loans.

But voters are unhappy that the far left Syriza party approved the measures despite election promises to end austerity.

Greece has a huge European Central Bank payment due in July as part of its 86 billion Euro bailout.

Ministers have promised to discuss new debt relief measures at today's meeting in Brussels.
