Locals in Cooleens Close had asked for the security system to be set up in the neighbourhood to tackle ongoing anti-social behaviour.
The then Clonmel Borough Council approved the project over five years ago however to date they have not been erected.
District Administrator Michael O'Brien says they hope to have a definite installation date in the near future.
He says they have been keeping pressure on the suppliers in a bid to resolve the situation.
Michael O’Brien has also moved to reassure residents of Cooleens Close that they are not being forgotten about.
