The Education Minister says he wants to make more information on the schools system available to the public – but that won't include league tables.
Ruairi Quinn has secured Cabinet approval to block public access to data from third-level institutions which newspapers commonly use to make league tables.
The Minister says he wants to give the public access to more “rounded” data on second level education.
