Economist says Tipp rental growth ‘healthier’ than elsewhere

The average rent in the Premier County went up over 7% in the 12 months to last December according to DAFT-dot-ie's latest report.

That's a considerably slower increase than the 13.5% rise for the rest of the country.

At €677 the average rent is now 20% above it's lowest figure but still 10% lower than it's boomtime peak.

Other areas have already gone 10% higher than their peak and Trinity economist Ronan Lyons – who compiled the report – says Tipp isn't seeing quite the same upward pressures.
