Drivers are being urged to exercise caution this morning as high winds are expected to spread across the West today.
Met Éireann has issued yellow wind warnings for Donegal, Clare, Kerry, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
The forecaster says winds could reach up to 65 kilometres an hour – and gusts of up to 100 kilometres an hour at times.
The Road Safety Authority says motorists should expect the unexpected.
