It comes after the latest shooting incident on Saturday morning in Dublin – which saw two people injured.
Shots were fired through the window of a house in the Cherry Orchard area of Ballyfermot just before 2 o'clock.
A man and woman, both in their 30s, suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor Daithí Doolan says everyone needs to work together to tackle this type of crime.
