Daft show lowest levels of rental properties nationwide

The report from Daft.ie claims rents have reached their highest level since their boom-time peak – but supply is at its lowest level ever.

The average renter is now paying one thousand and six euro per month – with only 31-hundred properties available to rent nationwide this year.

In Tipperary, rents were on average 4.2% higher in the first three months of 2016 than the year before with the average advertised rent now at €629, up 11% from their lowest point in 2013.

Cork has witnessed the biggest surge in rents – with inflation of 16 per cent there over the last 12 months.

Meanwhile Dublin experienced an increase of 8.8 per cent.
