The arrests follow a series of searches earlier this month.
As part of an ongoing intelligence led operation in the Waterford area Gardai detained 6 people this morning – 3 men and 3 women ranging in age from their mid 20's to their mid 50's
They are being held at various Garda stations across the division under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
These arrests follow a series of raids on the 3rd of June during which up to a 100 Gardai across a number of units searched houses and other premises in the county.
That operation – which was backed up by the Criminal Assets Bureau – is all part of on going efforts to target criminal gangs in the Waterford area.
