Council working to increase housing stock

There are over 2 thousand people on the social housing list across the Premier County, however the number of vacant homes that the council has is well below the demand.

Along with the construction of new houses, the local authority also buys houses from private landlords to add to their stock.

Head of the Housing section in Tipperary, Clare Curley says they have a number of options to provide homes for people on the waiting list that they utilise.
