Senior officials in Tipperary County Council say they're committed to carrying out major works at Knockalton in Nenagh.
The route, on the main Thurles road, has been earmarked for widening works for several years….recently a temporary surface has been put on the road but further work is needed.
At the recent meeting of Nenagh Municipal District, concern was expressed that the project hasn't moved on…but Director of Roads Marcus O'Connor told councillors that the funding and commitment was there for the work.
Local Independent Councillor Hughie McGrath says it's vital the scheme stays on the agenda
