‘Considerable damage’ caused to Dundrum House Hotel following fire

The blaze was spotted shortly before 7 o'clock this morning – it's understood to have started in the kitchen area but spread to other parts of the hotel.

A total of seven units of the Tipperary Fire Service from Cashel, Tipp Town and Cahir have been tackling the blaze…it's understood the fire has now been brought under control.

Gareth McLoughlin, Senior Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Tipperary has told Tipp FM that staff and guests had to be evacuated from the premises this morning as a precaution.

Mr. McLoughlin added that the function room and the kitchen have suffered ‘considerable damage’.
