Concerns over Health and Safety at Clonmel A&E.

Trolley watch figures from the INMO over recent weeks show the number of people attending the emergency department of the Clonmel health facility remains one of the highest in the country. 

Yesterday, there were 20 people waiting on trolleys and chairs for a bed, while at the region's other main hospital, University Hospital Limerick the number was 14.

Independent TD Mattie McGrath says he's concerned for the health and safety of patients and is planning to ask the Chief Fire Officer to carry out an inspection at the hospital.
