Clouds dampen eclipse in Tipperary.

Crowds have gathered at locations across the country to view the eclipse with varying degrees of success.

Visibility was best in the south of the country, with plenty of cloud cover elsewhere including in Tipperary.

The moon covered more than 90 per cent of the sun in the deepest eclipse in Ireland in more than 15 years.

Some people in the Premier County were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the eclipse during a break in the cloud cover with a number of photographs appearing on social media outlets.
