Gardaí in Clonmel are warning of a scam which has been operating in the area over the last few days.
4 individuals in 2 different vans have been approaching people in car-parks or filling station forecourts asking for money.

They claim to be out of diesel and need to visit a sick relative who is in hospital in Galway.
The vans in question are 151 and 161 reg.
While Gardaí have spoken to the individuals in question no law is being broken as people are giving them money voluntarily.
