Clonmel Arms Hotel sold

The building which has fallen into serious disrepair since its closure nearly 2 decades ago has been become a squat for homeless people in recent years.

There have also been several false dawns in releation to its sale, with talks of the hotel being converted into a multi storey car park.

Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council Siobhan Ambrose admits it could take millions to restore it to its former glory but another hotel for the town would be a huge economic boost.
