Children’s Hospital to provide jobs boost if approved

The €650 million hospital project to be built on the site of St James' Hospital in Dublin 8 will have its first hearing with An Bord Pleanala later this week after planning permission was lodged in August.

A final decision on the design of the project is expected by mid February.

According to Project Director for its Development Board, John Pollock, says 10 per cent of construction staff will be people who were long term unemployed or on apprenticeships.
