Operation Surround, which focuses Gardaí on a particular town or village over the weekends, is being ramped up for the festive season as more people go out socialising and may think about getting behind the wheel.
Motorists are being warned to ensure they do not drive with alcohol in their systems….and to ensure they have sobered up from the night before prior to driving.
Garda Anastasia Murphy from the Thurles Traffic Corps says the chances are that if you get behind the wheel with alcohol, you will be caught.
