The problem of irresponsible owners allowing their animals to foul footpaths in the mid-Tipp town is said to be getting worse of late.
The matter was highlighted at this months meeting of the Thurles – Templemore Municipal District by Sinn Fein representative David Doran.
While council officials cited legal implications for shooting down his call for the towns 15 CCTV cameras to be utilised to prosecute offenders Councillor Doran says it should be pursued further.
