Cashel hotel fined after hygiene breach

Kearney's Castle Hotel in Cashel was found to be in breach of food hygiene legislation.

The offence was discovered at the premises on Main Street in June of last year.

According to the Food Safety Authority the hotel has now been fined €1,500 for the breach along with costs of over €2,200.

The FSAI also ordered ten businesses around the country to stop certain activities last month due to breaches in food related health and safety.

One prohibition order was also served, under EC legislation.
