Negotiations have been ongoing for several months between the local authority and the club who are looking to expand.
Currently, there's 23 teams being trained at Carrick United…the club are now planning to grow their facilities.
Carrick District Independent Councillor Eddie O'Meara says efforts to come to an agreement have been ongoing for two years.
