Golden native William Francis Butler was instrumental in establishing the police force in the North American country in the 1870's.
The former solider is buried in Kimoyler and today the Canadian Ambassador Kevin Vickers will visit his grave to pay tribute to the Tipp native.
Speaking to Tipp Fm Ambassador Vickers says William Francis Butler's contribution to his country was invaluable.
