Advocates are holding a nationwide latching on event today – which aims to help mums feel more comfortable feeding their babies in public.
As part of the campaign Sabina Higgins will also hold a similar event at Áras an Uachtaráin on Monday.
One in three over 65's in Ireland live on their own.
