Calls for funding to restore Ardcroney castle

Scaffolding was erected at the old O'Hogan castle, in the old graveyard in the North Tipp village, several years ago and there are no signs of it being removed anytime soon.

Local representatives say the scaffolding was put up a number of years ago as a health and safety measure and while work was carried out on some of it the scaffolds were left in place to prop it up.

Fine Gael Councillor Ger Darcy says it's an eyesore.
