A local TD says Tipp Town’s Post Office must be kept in it’s current location.
An Post announced plans yesterday to stop running the branch directly.
It’s planning to have an independent contractor take on the management.
Tipperary TD Martin Browne says he’s happy with reassurances that jobs won’t be lost but he’s insisting that it would be a disaster for the town if the post office was to move to any other location.
