Call for Tipperary cancer patients to be excluded from hospital parking charges

Currently South Tipperary General provides free parking for an hour for such patients while there's no charge in Limerick but only a designated area can be used.

The issue was raised at the November meeting of the Regional Health Forum where Tipperary Sinn Fein Councillor David Doran called for a unified system across the country.

He feels the current set up is adding unnecessary stress to people who are already trying to cope with a serious illness.
