Dog owners in Cahir are being asked to support the efforts of the local Tidy Towns Group.
The voluntary organisation has been providing bags at a number of locations in the town for people to clean up after their dog.
However according to local Councillor Andy Moloney some dog owners are not disposing of these bags properly. Instead they are throwing them over garden walls and in some cases into fields where the bags are being eaten by cattle.
Tipperary County Council has now agreed to look at providing extra bins at locations in Cahir.
