Businesses speak out against Tipp town plaza development

The local authority is proposing to introduce a one way system on the street together with a reduction of parking spaces and protection measures for the Kickham monument.

The matter was discussed at length during Tipp Today which came from Tipp Town this morning.

Local off licence owner Michael Heffernan says the plans simply don't suit Kickham Street.

Mary Costigan from Costigan’s Pharmacy on Kickham Street echoed the calls to have the plaza located in the area between the two banks on the towns Main Street.

She told Fran Curry the entrance to the Market Yard would be much more suitable than Kickham Street.
