Bus Eireann workers meet to consider strike action

Yesterday unions withdrew from talks on government plans to privatise 10 per cent of public bus services.

They say the National Transport Authority has threatened to privatise routes without agreement from unions.

SIPTU and the National Bus and Railworkers Union are demanding guarantees on their members’ conditions if the privatisation goes ahead.
