Alexander Pacteau pleaded guilty to murdering the nurse from Mourneabbey in Co. Cork last month.
Mr Pacteau will be given the mandatory life sentence, but Judge Lady Rae will this morning decide on a minimum sentence he must serve before being eligible for parole.

The Buckley family, who are expected to attend the sentencing, have said they hope the 'evil killer' spends the rest of his life behind bars.
