The informal open evening was aimed at showing the local community the building and some of the facilities that will be on offer, once it opens at the beginning of next month.
The centre will be open two days a week to start, on Tuesdays and Thursdays…although this may be increased if demand is high.
The facility will be open to anyone from the area, including the elderly and younger people, to avail of the services.
Chairperson of the Borrisokane Day Care Centre Committee Tadgh Slevin says it's been a long road to get the centre for the community.
