South Tipperary County Council and Irish Water are advising consumers not to drink the water or use it for cooking unless it's been boiled first.
The areas affected are Graigue, Ballypatrick, Glenbower, Lissadobber, Faugheen, Newtown, Cregg, Ballyrichard, Ballyneil, Ballynagrana, Kylanoreashy and surrounding areas.
South Tipperary County Council and Irish Water wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
