The men, all in their late 30s were arrested after they rammed a Garda checkpoint in Mountrath in the early hours of this morning and fled the scene.
The suspects are currently being detained at Tullamore and Portlaoise Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
It's understood that they will be questioned in relation to the theft of agricultural equipment from farms in Tipperary and several other counties.
