A €35 million investment in the Irish dairy sector is set to be unveiled at Arrabawn in Nenagh today.
It's one of two major events taking place in Tipperary with The Taoiseach and the Justice Minister bound for Templemore to welcome a new batch of Garda recruits.
This government backed investment being announced at Arrabawn is all part of the dairy sectors preparations for the end of milk quotas which is expected to significantly aid job creation
The North Tipp Co-Op is one of 8 companies involved in the development of a €25 million Dairy Processing Technology Company, hosted by UL and other 3rd level institutions.
Arrabawn is also part of €10 million investment in the creation of a pilot plant facility at Teagasc in Cork
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney will be present for today's announcement along with Minister Alan Kelly and Junior Minister Tom Hayes.
Meanwhile in a second major event in Tipperary today
Student numbers at the Garda College are set to be boosted.
100 new recruits enter the training centre in Templemore, the 3rd batch since last summer.
The Taoiseach, Justice Minister and Garda Commissioner will all attend today's event, address the students and tour the facilities.
