Appeal for witnesses after Dublin stabbing

Gardaí in Dublin are continuing their investigations after a taxi driver was stabbed during a car jacking in Swords over the weekend

The driver in his 30s picked up two male passengers at Airside Retail Park at approximately 3am on Saturday morning – he was assaulted and stabbed a number of times but managed to escape and raise the alarm.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment. 

Both suspects drove off in the taxi, a 10-D registered grey Ford Mondeo, it was later found burnt out near Bellewstown in County Meath. 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
