Anthony Lyons of Griffith Avenue in Dublin, was convicted of violent sexual assault on the 27 year old woman, as she walked down a Dublin street in the early hours of October 3rd 2010.
He was initially sentenced to six years in prison with five and a half years suspended, but a further 18 months was later added to that sentence.
Anthony Lyons left Arbour Hill Prison this morning.
