The union said the decision was taken following a ballot earlier this month in which its National Ambulance Service members voted by 92 per-cent to 8 per-cent in favour of industrial action, up to and including strike action.
The all-out strike action is due to commence on Wednesday the 10th of August at 8am.
A SIPTU spokesperson said the action is regrettable, but members feel they have no option in a dispute related to their conditions of employment.
