ALONE urges people to visit the elderly over Christmas

Many people around the Premier County will be alone over the festive period with no one to chat to.

ALONE – the charity that provides services for older people in need – is highlighting the isolation and loneliness of older people in particular around Christmas.

Figures show that one-third of pensioners live alone – CEO Sean Moynihan says loneliness is a very serious health issue and is encouraging people across Tipp to take the time to visit neighbours or relatives.
