The Independent Alliance is reportedly pushing for its own package of measures to be included in next week's budget.
According to the Irish Times, the proposals focus on the needs of senior citizens in areas other than the State pension.
It's claimed that some of the requests have already been turned down.
The Alliance is to meet with the Ministers for Finance and Public Expenditure tomorrow, ahead of the final cabinet meeting before next Tuesday's budget.
