It comes after an increase of 30 percent in the number of homeless families in the past six months in the Dublin area while local figures show hundreds of families are on waiting lists across the Premier County.
Representatives from non-government and State organisations involved in the delivery of housing and homelessness services will be in attendance at today's forum.
Niamh Randall, National Spokesperson for the Simon Communities in Ireland, says that urgent action needs to be taken.
