A landmark Tipperary hotel goes on the market this week.

Set on 25 acres in the vicinity of the Rock of Cashel the hotel has 19 bedrooms and two suites.

Built in 1730 it was turned into a hotel in the 1960s and has had many high profile guests including Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor, Ronald Reagan and Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis.

The most recent owners of the Cashel Palace were Pat and Susan Murphy – the hotel stopped trading late last year with the loss of 32 jobs.

It goes on the market this week through joint selling agents PJ Broderick and CBRE – it has a guide price of €2.25 million.
