1st countywide Tipperary Tourism strategy unveiled

The 130 page action plans sets out a framework on which to market the entire county on five strategic pillars including its unspoilt landscape, its ideal location in the heartland of the county and its strong local produce.

It will tie in with Bord Failte's Ancient East strategy which includes all of Tipperary with the idea of drawing in visitors to several locations on one trip.

Aiden Pender of CHL Consulting which compiled the strategy says it’s a key marketing tool to work with existing tourism providers

Director of Services for Economic and Community Development Sinead Carr says Ancient East is very different from the Wild Atlantic Way in terms of promoting it and this strategy will require all different communities to work together
