Over 550 patients being treated on hospital trolleys

It’s a busy day at hospitals across the country with 556 patients left without a bed.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation University Hospital Limerick is once again the most overcrowded facility.

60 people who have been admitted through the Emergency Department are being cared for on trolleys.

At Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel 8 patients are being treated on trolleys in the ED.
