Lough Derg RNLI involved in rescue near Dromineer

6 People were rescued after a boat ran aground in Dromineer Bay yesterday.

Valentia Coast Guard requested Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat to assist after a 30ft motorboat ran aground behind the
Corakeen Islands near Dromineer Bay just after 3.30 yesterday afternoon.

The boat with two people on board, had reported the vessel aground and had dropped anchor close by until the lifeboat arrived on scene.
All six passengers were found to be safe and unharmed and wearing their lifejackets.

The lifeboat took the cruiser with her passengers and towed it to the public harbour at Dromineer.
