The Flanagan Brothers were an Irish music duo in New York composed of brothers Mike on banjo and Joe on melodeon, who recorded extensively in the 1920s and performed in America’s Irish dance halls
They were hugely successful and had a very unique sound.
Four of our finest musicians have come together to pay tribute to the Flanagan’s music with an album called By Heck.
The musicians are Martin Murray, Frankie Gavin, Emma Corbett and Carl Hession.
Martin Murray was live in studio with Fran this morning.
