The new General Secretary of the Education and Training Boards Ireland says he believes the replacement of the Vocational Education Committees with the new ETB's will be more suited to the 21st century.
16 new Education and Training Boards will be established today to replace the 33 VEC's across the country.
Tipperary North Riding Vocational Education Committee & Tipperary South Riding Vocational Education Committee will be replaced by the Tipperary Education and Training Board
The reform will reduce the number of Chief Executive Officers in line with the number of bodies and result in savings of 2 million euro's annually
