Pat Rabbitte was responding to a series of polls which show Labour may lose both of its remaining European seats in Friday's poll.
Weekend polls also suggest Labour could lose around half of their seats on the country's city and county councils.
But Minister Rabbitte told reporters he didn't believe Labour would be “annihilated”:
