Scheme for cancer patients extended to Tipperary.

 

 

A free travel scheme for cancer patients attending the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick, has become available for people in Tipperary.

The Care to Drive Programme, which has been set up by the Irish Cancer Society, recruits and trains volunteers to transport patients to and from hospital for chemotherapy appointments.

The Society currently has 18 drivers available in Tipperary.
