North Tipperary people attending the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick today can expect lengthy delays.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association it’s the busiest facility in the country with 61 patients without a bed.

This is up from 50 yesterday.

Nationally 479 people who have been admitted to hospitals through the Emergency Department are waiting for a bed.

17 of these are at South Tipp General in Clonmel.
