Graduates could face years of repayments under a third level education proposal being discussed at an all-party committee today.

The income-linked loan system would follow the idea of ‘study now, pay later’, but the repayments would only start when a person reached a certain income level.

The government’s looking at a range of options for funding third level in the future.

Founding President of UL Ed Walsh says he thinks this system would be a fair one.
