More than 300 people on trolleys today

Just over 300 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

University Hospital Limerick – which serves North Tipperary – is one of the most overcrowded today.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation – there are 24 people in need of a bed at the Dooradoyle hospital with similar numbers at Wexford General and the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar

At South Tipp General there are 14 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
